I made up these characters about two girls: Gaby and her cousin Dennisse (black hair), who possess the sixth sense meaning that they can see and communicate with the dead. Their "best friend" is a little curious ghost named Margie who follows them around and continuously wants to play with them.
These were part of a project for class and I thought I would post them up since I've been doodling them and posting it on Tumblr, mostly Margie. I have a couple more but they're very crappy so you're not missing much.

Fun fact: Dennisse is my middle name, Gaby was almost my name instead of the other, and Margie comes from Margie Hines who is the first voice actor of Betty Boop who inspired the design of Margie. I know she's not the well-known voice actress (as Mae Questel is) but that name appeared cute to me.
Boring fact: I traditionally inked the doodles with Eberhand Felt-tip pens, a small felt-tip pen I bought from Little Tokyo, and small size Copic pens for mouths and little details. Then I scanned and colored in SAI Paint Tool
Wow Margie Hines inspired your character Margie? This Margie Hines: [link] (Oh, i remember your artwork, you made a model sheet of Mysterious Mose <3)
To tell you the truth, Margie Hines did have a cartoon modeled after her in the Van Beuren Studios Cartoon Tight Rope Tricks (1933), she even provided the voice: [link] [link]
I know I am going to sound like such a major spazz saying this but you are such an inspiration. Everytime I look at your art I get all giddy inside. x3 I love your character designs here, I know I would watch this if it ever became a cartoon show. <3
